Sustainability Tendency of Practices and Theory in Accounting & Auditing


Accounting is a business language. Due to the emergence of global village and information technology development, accounting plays a critical role of business communication. Under the worldwide economic landscape, it is a matter of vital importance to enhance corporate governance functions and improve financial reporting quality, preventing the increasing events of economic frauds. To fulfill its responsibilities of protecting investors, Taiwanese Financial Supervisory Commission requires public companies to establish the systems of independent directors and audit committees. The theme of the 2016 TAA Annual Meeting is Sustainability Tendency of Practices and Theory in Accounting & Auditing. This annual meeting aims to explore the future developments in accounting and auditing in terms of practice and theory. The meeting offers a unique platform for domestic and foreign distinguished scholars and practitioners to share knowledges and experience in either academic of practice.
